Types of Painting Supplies
Abrasives- These are minerals that that is used to shape or finish a workpiece through rubbing in order to gain a smooth and reflective surface. Some of the most commonly used abrasives are Sanding Blocks, Sanding Sheet, Sandpaper, Steel Wool and Wire Brushes.

Paint- Paint can be described as any liquid, liquifiable, or natural resin composition which after application to a substrate in a thin layer is converted to an opaque solid film. It is used to protect, preserve and decorate. They can be sub categorized into 3 types depending on their finish, coating and paint type.

In the category of abrasives some naturally available options are Calcite (calcium carbonate), Emery (impure corundum), Diamond dust (synthetic diamonds are used extensively) and Novaculite Pumice dust Rouge along with sand. Natural pigmentation like clays, calcium carbonate, mica, silicas, and talcs and synthetic pigmentation like calcined clays, blanc fix, precipitated calcium carbonate, and synthetic silicas are used to manufacture paints. Other painting supplies like brush are made of natural fibers while wood is used to make the holding sticks of the painting.

Applications
